Privacy is very important to us. We’ll only ever access your account to help you with a problem or help resolve a software bug. We’ll never open any uploaded files unless you ask us to. We log all access to all accounts by IP address, so we can always verify that no unauthorized access has happened for as long as the logs are kept. We use various 3rd party providers to give you the best quality product and to run our platform. None of these services share user information with third parties.
When you sign up for ConquerED, we ask for your name, prefix, school name name, and email address. We ask for this to personalize your experience with ConquerED. We’ll never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won’t use your name, company, or school in marketing statements without your permission, either.
When you write ConquerED with a question or to ask for help, we’ll keep that correspondence, and the email address, for future reference. When you browse our marketing pages, we’ll track that for statistical purposes (like conversion rates and to test new designs). We also store any information you volunteer, like surveys, for as long as it makes sense.
The only times we’ll ever share your info:
ConquerED does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13 unless and until the School has obtained appropriate parental consent for the student to use the Service. Because ConquerED collects and uses Student Data at the direction of and under the control of a School, ConquerED relies on each School to provide appropriate notice to parents of the School's use of third party service providers such as ConquerED, and for the Schools to provide consent, if necessary, and authorization for ConquerED to collect Student Data, as permitted by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
For any reason, Legal Parents/Guardians have the right to refuse our service on behalf of their child. No child should be forced to use our platform in order to pass a course.
ConquerED won’t hand your data over to law enforcement unless a court order says we have to. We flat-out reject requests from local and federal law enforcement when they seek data without a court order. And unless we’re legally prevented from it, we’ll always inform you when such requests are made.
Occasionally, we may respectfully contact you to ask for product feedback and/or notify you of any product announcements. If you submit any issues through our support team, we will use the information you provide to help resolve any issues or feedback you have on our platform.
If you receive an email or a message that you no longer want to receive, you will be able to control your notification preferences on your own. Your preference will be immediately respected. All of our emails have a reply address that go to a real human. So if you are having troubles or have questions, just reply to that email with your request and we’ll get your question addressed.
We work very hard to make sure that your information is not accessible from unauthorized access. To help ensure this, ConquerED uses the following practices to keep your information safe:
When you cancel your account, your data will be retained for 30 days after cancellation. Past that point, we may permanently delete your account and all of your data to save on our storage space. Please be aware that your data may be securely stored on our backup system for up to 12 months. We’ll only restore backup data in the event of a disaster. We’ll never use our backups for any other purpose.
ConquerED may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we’ll notify you about significant changes by emailing the account owner or by placing a prominent notice on our site. You can access, change or delete your personal information at any time by contacting our support team.
